Presteigne and a black cat

We visited Presteigne, on the Welsh border on Friday, on our way home from Hay-on-Wye. The quiet and peace in this area is astounding. My ears were almost buzzing with the stillness.
In the overcrowded South East of England there is always a background buzz - a distant motorway, a car, a mower or a
plane. We live in a villages which ought to be quiet, and, indeed we feel that it is, until we visit somewhere like Presteigne.
We met this handsome black cat there, who was
basking in the April sunshine amidst purple and yellow, just waiting to have his (or more likely her) photo taken.
