Knitting

So what am I knitting at the moment? Gloves again, ready for my Etsy shop opening in the near future. The ones pictured above are pale grey 'Celtic' pattern gloves, of my own designing, with lovely leaf-shaped beads. I can't get any more of these beads, which is a shame.
I'm knitting some pinkish gloves now, with lovely irridescent pink beads at the cuff.
Today I bought some pale, pale blue fine cotton so that I can try some summer cotton lace gloves. I shall cast on tomorrow.

Am in love with these gloves. I am a beginner knitter and am envious of your skills. I am starting a shawl and am nervous because I do not know how to pick up stitches. Stumbled on your blog. It is really really nice. I am now a follower. Please come over to me and follow if you like.

thanks so much Clare - I'm glad you like the gloves. I'm hoping to put some up for sale in the near future, so watch this space!
I have been knitting since I was 4 - a mere 50 years. I got fed up with knitting garments because they are so expensive and never get worn. that's when I turned to gloves.
I also like knitting shawls - check out my Flickr and Ravelry pages.
