Lincoln Cathedral and Tennyson

We have just come back from spending Easter Saturday and Sunday in Lincoln. Ed is going to spend his gap year next year singing in the Cathedral choir, and he sang in the Easter services over the weekend. Way back in the dark ages I went to school in Lincoln, and in 1978 I worked for a year helping to catalogue the Wren Library there. The picture on the right shows the outside of my office - it is now the coffee shop, hence the tables outside. A bit different from our tap under the stairs and an electric kettle!
My new camera was tried out, but as you can see, the light was not very good for photography. I tried a few shots of the wonderful statue of Tennyson which is outside the Cathedral Library, but I have had to adjust it on the computer to get rid of some of the shadow. The Cathedral is just such an inspiring place. I can't wait until we can move back there.
